GECF Secretary General Mshelbila: investment in gas industry will become more selective
At the company level, in our view, investment will continue; it will become more selective and take on a more strategic character. We expect this investment to come in waves, but with an upward trend
According to the GECF Secretary General, there is interest from investors and companies in this sector — natural gas demand is expected to grow quite actively over the next 30 years. Demand growth will be 31%. Moreover, the share of gas in the energy balance will rise from 23% to 26%.
Natural gas has a future, as it is the most serious support in carrying out the energy transition and mitigating the consequences of climate change. Consequently, investment will be attracted to the industry.
