The 8th Summit of the Heads of State and Government of the GECF member countries underscores the organisation’s strategic role as an authoritative international platform, Russia’s readiness for dialogue on key issues of energy cooperation, and our country’s potential in shaping fair and sustainable rules governing the global gas market.
By Executive Order No. 745 of October 15, 2025, President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin designated the city of Moscow as the venue for the summit and approved the Statute on the Organising Committee for the preparation and holding of the 8th Summit of the Heads of State and Government of the Gas Exporting Countries Forum member countries in the Russian Federation.
The summit will enable our country to offer the world balanced solutions amid the transformation of energy markets, as well as to strengthen trust between states and ensure sustainable development of the gas industry for the benefit of the peoples of the exporting countries.
